November 2015: A class-action lawsuit was filed against Procter & Gamble for allegedly deceptively packaging several Tide® liquid detergent products to make it appear as if consumers are getting more than they actually are. According to the complaint, the company uses non-transparent plastic bottles that contain at least 11% empty space. (Garcia et al v. The Procter & Gamble Company and The Procter & Gamble Distributing LLC, Case No. 15-cv-9174, S. D. NY.)
