Gillette® and Old Spice® Deodorants

December 2014: The parties agreed to dismiss this lawsuit. The reasons for the dismissal have not yet been disclosed.

September 2014: A class-action lawsuit was filed against Procter & Gamble for allegedly deceptively packaging several antiperspirants and deodorants, including Gillette® Odor Shield Invisible Solid, Old Spice® High Endurance Invisible Solid, and Old Spice® Classic. The complaint alleges, among other things, that the size of the package gives consumers the impression that they are getting more deodorant than they actually are. For example, the container for the 2.6 ounce deodorant is 5 ¼ inches high and 2 ½ inches wide when the actual size of the deodorant is 2 ¾ inches long and 2 ½ inches wide. (Tjokronolo et al v. The Procter & Gamble Company and Procter & Gamble Productions, Inc., Case No. 14-cv-5577, E. D. NY.).
