July 2019: A class-action lawsuit was filed against Colgate-Palmolive for allegedly falsely advertising that Lady Speed Stick Stain Guard antiperspirant fights yellow stains and white marks when, according to the plaintiffs, the active ingredient (aluminum zirconium tetrachlorohydrex GLY) in the antiperspirants causes white marks and yellow stains. Plaintiffs also claim that the Stain Guard antiperspirants do not contain any ingredient that fights white marks and yellow stains and that the antiperspirants are less effective because the active ingredient is diluted.
