Hill’s Science Diet and Prescription Diet Canned Dog Foods

Between February and July 2019, multiple class-action lawsuits were filed against Hill’s Pet Nutrition for allegedly misleadingly representing that several varieties of Hill’s® Science Diet® and Prescription Diet® canned dog foods are high quality and safe for dogs when, according to plaintiffs, the products contain high levels of vitamin D, which may cause dogs to have serious health issues, including vomiting, weight loss, and death. Several of the lawsuits were transferred to one court to be heard together.
