Rite Aid’s Infants’ and Children’s Acetaminophen Products

August 2020: This case was transferred from state court to federal court. (Case No. 20-cv-5476, N.D. Cal.)

June 2020: A class-action lawsuit was filed against Rite Aid for allegedly misleadingly marketing that Infants’ Fever Reducer and Pain Reliever is beneficial and safer for children ages 2 to 3 years old, and charging more for the Infants’ product than the Children’s Fever Reducer and Pain Reliever when, according to plaintiffs, both products contain the same amount of the active ingredient acetaminophen and the Infants’ product does not have special qualities or properties. (Calagno et al v Rite Aid Corp., Case No. HG20064377, California State Court – Alameda)
