September 2014: A false advertising class-action lawsuit filed against Johnson & Johnson and McNeil Nutritionals was transferred from state court to federal court. The complaint, which was originally filed in May 2014, alleges, among other things, that the company misleadingly labels Nectresse® Natural No Calorie Sweetener as natural when it actually contains chemically processed and synthetic ingredients. (Viggiano et al v. Johnson & Johnson, McNeil Nutritionals, LLC, and Does 1-10, Case No. 14-cv-07250, C. D. CA.).
