October 2014: A class-action lawsuit was filed against Nature’s Bounty Inc. (and transferred to federal court in November 2014) for allegedly falsely advertising that its Ginkgo Biloba supplement will improve memory and brain functioning without scientific evidence to support such claims. (Wilson et al v. Nature’s Bounty, Inc., NBTY, Inc., and Does 1-100, Case No. 14-cv-09082, C. D. CA.).
