In November 2018, a class-action lawsuit was filed against General Motors for allegedly misleadingly advertising the durability, longevity, and fuel economy of its diesel automobiles when, according to plaintiffs, a pump in the vehicles is not compatible with American diesel fuel and leads to engine failure without warning.
