In September 2019, a class-action lawsuit was filed against General Motors for allegedly misleadingly marketing that its Cadillac User Experience system (a touch screen infotainment system with navigation and radio features) in vehicles – including Cadillacs and Escalades – improves driver safety when, according to plaintiffs, defects in the system make safety features inoperable and cause drivers to become distracted.
