November 2015: The named plaintiff’s claims were dismissed When a complaint is dismissed with prejudice, it cannot be refiled.. The reasons for the dismissal have not been disclosed.

September 2015: A class-action lawsuit, which was filed against Mars, Inc. and Mars Chocolate North America, LLC in August 2015 (and transferred to federal court in September 2015), alleges that the companies deceptively label ice cream products, including the Vanilla Flavored, Coffee Flavored, and Vanilla and Chocolate Flavored ice creams. According to the complaint, the companies fail to adequately disclose that its flavored ice creams contain artificial flavors, in violation of federal and California law. (Cheslow et al v. Mars, Inc. and Mars Chocolate North America, LLC, Case No. 15-cv-4454, N. D. CA.)
