The Cost of Uber Rides
In May 2017, a class-action lawsuit was filed against Uber for allegedly misleading consumers by showing consumers the “actual fare” of a ride before they book the ride and then charging them, on average, $1.98 more than the represented “actual fare.” (Gayed et al v. Uber Technologies, Inc. et al, Case No. 17-cv-3139, E. D. NY.)
