In March and April 2020, a class-action lawsuit was filed against Zoom Video Communications for allegedly misleadingly representing that it protects the personal identifying information it collects from users when, according to plaintiffs, Zoom does not take adequate security measures resulting in the unauthorized disclosure of users’ personal information to third parties, including Facebook and LinkedIn.
