February 2015: This action was voluntarily dismissed When a complaint is dismissed without prejudice, an amended version of the complaint can be refiled., the reasons for which have not been disclosed.

September 2014: A class-action lawsuit was filed against ConAgra Foods, Inc. for allegedly deceptively packaging the Slim Jim® sticks. The complaint alleges, among other things, that the size of the Slim Jim® box gives consumers the impression that it contains more snacks than it actually does. In addition, plaintiffs claim the “actual size” of the snack portrayed on the box is not the true size of the snack (i. e., the picture on the box shows a snack that is 3 7/8 inches tall and 5/8 inches wide when, in reality, the snack is 3 5/8 tall and the diameter of the stick is 3/8 inches). (Stoltz et al v. ConAgra Foods, Inc., Case No. 14-cv-5546, E. D. NY.)
