In February 2017, a class-action lawsuit was filed against Bayer for allegedly deceiving consumers by misrepresenting the number of daily servings of vitamins in each bottle of ONE A DAY VitaCraves multivitamins. Specifically, plaintiffs claim that the packaging makes consumers think that they should take one gummy each day and the number of gummies in each bottle equals the number of daily servings in the bottle when, in reality, consumers should take two gummies to get one daily serving of vitamins and, as a result, each bottle contains enough gummies for half of the number of days (for example, a bottle with 70 gummies provides only 35 daily servings of vitamins). (Goldman et al v. Bayer AG et al, Case No. 17-cv-647, N. D. CA.)
