September 2019: A class-action lawsuit was filed against Bayer AG and Monsanto Company for allegedly misleadingly marketing Roundup as safe without adequately warning consumers that the weed killer contains glyphosate, which is an ingredient that allegedly increases the risk of cancer. (Sheller et al v. Bayer AG and Monsanto Company, Case No. 19-cv-4063, S. D. IN.)
