In January 2019, a class-action lawsuit was filed against Big Heart Pet Brands for allegedly falsely advertising that its Nature’s Recipe dog and cat foods are “all natural” when, according to the plaintiffs, the pet foods contain non-natural, artificial, and synthetic ingredients. (Acquard et al v. Big Heart Pet Brands, Inc., Case No. 19-cv-50, W. D. NY.)
