In January 2020, two class-action lawsuits were filed against Ford for allegedly misleadingly advertising diesel trucks with Bosch CP4 fuel injection pumps as being durable, reliable, and fuel efficient when, according to the complaint, the fuel pump used in the vehicles is not compatible with American fuel standards and leads to engines failing without warning.
