Allegations: Falsely marketing sunscreens as “Reef-Friendly” when they contain ingredients that damage coral reefs and marine life
In September 2017, a class-action lawsuit was filed against The Hain Celestial Group and Hain Blueprint for allegedly misleadingly marketing BluePrint Cold Pressed Juices as being cold pressed, raw, and “Manifreshto” when, according to plaintiffs, the juices are processed after being cold pressed (and the lemon juice is manufactured using a different method). The complaint also alleges that the companies misleadingly market BluePrint Organic drinks as being raw when, according to plaintiffs, the products have been processed. (Davis et al v. The Hain Celestial Group, Inc. and Hain Blueprint, Inc., Case No. 17-cv-5191, E. D. NY.)
