In September 2020, a class-action lawsuit was filed against Celestial Seasonings for allegedly misleadingly representing that the characterizing flavors in its Honey Vanilla Chamomile Herbal Tea are honey and vanilla when, according to plaintiffs, the tea contains de minimis amounts of these ingredients and includes “Natural Honey Flavor with Other Natural Flavors” instead. (Lugo et al v. Celestial Seasonings, Inc., Case No. 20-cv-4580, E.D.N.Y.)
