Silk Salted Caramel Almond Creamer
Allegations: Misleadingly marketing that products provide “4g Protein” when one serving provides only 1 gram of protein
In January 2017, a class-action lawsuit was filed against Whitewave Services for allegedly deceptively marketing Silk Almondmilk products as nutritionally superior alternatives to dairy milk when, in reality, the beverages lack essential nutrients and vitamins provided in dairy milk. The complaint also claims that Whitewave fails to label the beverages as “imitation milk,” as required by the FDA. (Kelley et al v. WWF Operating Company dba Whitewave Services, Inc., Case No. 17-cv-117, E. D. CA.)
