September 2018: This case was transferred to federal court. (Case No. 18-cv-62111, S.D. Fla.)

August 2018: A class-action lawsuit was filed against Samsung for allegedly falsely advertising kitchen appliances as being “stainless steel” when, according to the plaintiffs, they are actually other materials that are painted or laminated to look like stainless steel. (Ferris et al v. Samsung Electronics Co. and Samsung Electronics America, Inc., Case No. 18-017681, Florida State Court – Broward County)
