June 2017: A class-action lawsuit was filed against J. Crew for allegedly falsely advertising discounts by comparing false “regular prices” to “discounted prices.” According to the complaint, the regular prices are overstated and not the prevailing market price within the three months immediately before the advertisement, as required by California law. (Press et al v. J. Crew, Inc., Case No. 17-cv-4315, C. D. CA.)
