Telebrands “Everyday Savings” Program
Allegations: Failing to tell customers who purchased products that they would be enrolled in its “Everyday Savings” program

November 2016: A state judge preliminarily approved a settlement of a false advertising class-action lawsuit against Telebrands. The complaint alleges that the company made false and misleading statements in the marketing for certain models of the Pocket Hose expandable garden hoses, including Pocket Hose Dura Rib, Pocket Hose Ultra, and Pocket Hose Top Brass. According to the settlement terms, class members may receive cash payments ranging from $7 to $50. A final fairness hearing is scheduled for March 3, 2017.
