Telebrands “Everyday Savings” Program
Allegations: Failing to tell customers who purchased products that they would be enrolled in its “Everyday Savings” program
In June 2017, a state court judge preliminarily approved a settlement of a false advertising class-action lawsuit against Telebrands Corp. The complaint, which was originally filed in March 2016, alleges that the company made misleading statements about the quality, superiority, and effectiveness of Amish Secret Handmade Wood Polish. According to the settlement terms, class members with proof of purchase may receive $10 for each bottle purchased and class members without proof of purchase may receive a total of $5. A final fairness hearing is scheduled for October 13, 2017. (Miller et al v. Telebrands Corp., Case No. 1616-cv-06264, Circuit Court of Jackson County, Missouri at Independence)
