In September 2020, a class-action lawsuit was filed against The Price Chopper for allegedly misleadingly marketing that the flavoring ingredient in pics Vanilla Bean Ice Cream is vanilla when, according to the complaint, the ingredients list reveals that the product contains unspecified “Natural Flavor.” Plaintiffs also claim that the company misleadingly adds exhausted “Ground Vanilla Beans” that do not add any flavor to make consumers think the ice cream contains more vanilla than it actually does.
