In May 2018, a class-action lawsuit was filed against S.C. Johnson & Son for allegedly falsely advertising that Off! Family Care Clean Feel Insect Repellent “repels mosquitoes” and provides “effective protection from mosquitoes” when, according to the plaintiffs, scientific evidence shows that the product does not repel mosquitoes. (Bourbia et al v. S.C. Johnson & Son, Inc., Case No. 18-cv-3944, S.D.N.Y.)
