The complaint, which was originally filed in January 2012 and amended in July 2014, alleges that models of Maytag Centennial washing machines — including model numbers MVWC6ESWW0, MVWC6ESWW1, and MVWC7ESWW0 — are promoted as ENERGY STAR®-qualified and labeled with the ENERGY STAR® logo when, in reality, the washing machines do not meet the ENERGY STAR® efficiency standards and use more water and energy than their labels state.
