March 2019: A class-action lawsuit was filed against The Kroger Co. for allegedly misleadingly labeling its Deluxe Churned Artisan Vanilla Bean Light Ice Cream and its Deluxe Artisan Vanilla Bean Ice Cream as being “artisan” and handcrafted in small quantities when, according to plaintiffs, the ice creams are mass-produced using machines.
