October 2018: A class-action lawsuit was filed against Costco for allegedly falsely advertising Kirkland Signature Extra Strength Glucosamine and Chondroitin joint health products as providing “meaningful joint health benefits” when, according to plaintiffs, the main ingredients (glucosamine and chondroitin) are not capable of supporting or benefiting joint health. (Teperson et al v. Costco Wholesale Corp., Case No. 2018-00053514, California State Court – San Diego)
