Allegations: Falsely advertising that chocolates are made in Belgium when they are made in Pennsylvania
In January 2019, a class-action lawsuit was filed against Godiva Chocolatier for allegedly falsely marketing that its chocolate products are made in Belgium when, according to the complaint, the chocolates are actually made in Pennsylvania. (Buxbaum et al v. Godiva Chocolatier, Inc., Case No. 19-cv-558, N.D. Cal.)
