Expedia and Reservation.com’s Taxes and Fees

In December 2018 and January 2019, two class-action lawsuits were filed against Expedia for allegedly misleadingly representing that taxes and fees charged to consumers who reserve hotel rooms from Reservations.com are paid to the government when, according to plaintiffs, the amount charged in taxes and fees is more than the amount that must be paid to the government and Expedia keeps the difference as profit.
