January 2021: A class-action lawsuit was filed against The Procter & Gamble Company for allegedly falsely advertising that Crest Gum & Enamel Repair Toothpaste will repair gums when, according to the complaint, the FDA does not indicate that any over-the-counter oral care product helps repair gums and gums do not grow back once the tissue has pulled away from teeth. (Nieves et al v. The Procter & Gamble Company, Case No. 21-cv-186, S.D.N.Y.)
