
SEC Sues OnPassive Alleging It’s a Pyramid Scheme
Lawsuit claims company defrauded over 800,000 investors of more than $108 million.
A false advertising class-action lawsuit was filed against B&G Foods in September 2016 for allegedly falsely advertising Cream of Wheat Instant Hot Cereal as containing maple when it does not contain any maple. In October, the action was voluntarily dismissed. The reasons have not been disclosed. (Horton et al v. B&G Foods, Inc., and B&G Foods North America, Inc., Case No. 16-cv-6638, C. D. CA.)
