In November 2017, a class-action lawsuit was filed against East West Tea Company for allegedly misleadingly marketing Yogi Green Tea Kombucha as containing “Organic Kombucha” and “supply[ing] antioxidants to support overall health” when, according to plaintiffs, the green tea does not contain any kombucha at all and does not provide the advertised health benefits.
