August 2016: The appeal was voluntarily dismissed, the reasons for which have not been disclosed. (Demmler v. Ach Food Companies, Inc., Case No. 16-1932, 1st Cir.)
July 2016: Plaintiff filed a Notice of Appeal regarding the decision to dismiss the case.
June 2016: A federal judge dismissed the case finding that, after the company sent the named plaintiff a $75 check, the court could not offer the named plaintiff any more relief. The class’s claims were also dismissed.
October 2015: A class-action lawsuit was filed against Ach Food Companies, Inc. for allegedly falsely marketing Weber BBQ sauces, including Original BBQ Sauce, Buzz’N Honey BBQ Sauce, Hickory Smoke BBQ Sauce, Real Molasses BBQ Sauce, and Kick’N Spicy BBQ Sauce, as “All Natural” when they actually contain unnatural, synthetic, and artificial ingredients. (Demmler et al v. Ach Food Companies, Inc., Case No. 15-cv-13556, D. MA.)
