November 2013: A class action complaint was filed against Walgreen Co. alleging the company falsely promises that its joint supplement containing glucosamine and chondroitin will “rebuild cartilage” when, in reality, there is no scientific evidence to support such claims. (Nelson et al v. Walgreen Co., Case No. 13-cv-01871, D. DE.).
