Volkswagen’s People First Warranty

In March 2020, a class-action lawsuit was filed alleging that Volkswagen fails to honor promises in the advertising and marketing materials for its People First bumper-to-bumper New Vehicle Limited Warranty. Specifically, plaintiffs claim that the company promises to make “any repair to correct a defect in the manufacturer’s material or workmanship” when, according to the complaint, the company hides the fact that it does not repair a defect in the sunroofs of several Audi and Volkswagen vehicles.
