January 2019: After the plaintiffs learned that Whitewave Services and Danone do not directly manufacture, distribute, or sell the Vega products named in the complaint, the companies were dismissed as defendants. Later in January, plaintiffs filed an amended complaint against Sequel Naturals and Vega US similarly alleging that Vega protein and meal replacement powders – including Vega One Organic All-in-One Shake, Vega Sport Premium Protein, and Vega Essentials Shake – are deceptively packaged in opaque containers that are approximately 50% or more empty space.
