In September 2017, a class-action lawsuit was filed against the manufacturers of True Nopal beverages for allegedly deceptively marketing its Cactus Water as being liquid from the prickly pear cactus without adequately disclosing that the juice is from concentrate. (Khallili et al v. True Me Brands, LLC et al, Case No. 17-cv-5192, E. D. NY.)
