June 2016: A state judge preliminarily approved a settlement of a lawsuit alleging that Vitamin Shoppe makes false and misleading statements on the labels of and in advertisements for Reservie Trans-Resveratrol regarding its lawfulness, composition, and ingredients, in violation of California law. According to the settlement terms, class members may receive a refund ranging from $17 to $25, depending on the total number of valid claims submitted. In addition, the company agreed to revise the product labels to more clearly disclose that the product contains polygonum cuspidatum (Japanese Knotweed) by listing the ingredient in the Supplement Facts panel on the label. The final fairness hearing is scheduled for January 26, 2017. (Scheuerman et al v.
