Purell Hand Sanitizer

In January 2020, a class-action lawsuit was filed against Purell for allegedly falsely advertising Purell Advanced Hand Sanitizers. Plaintiffs claim that the company misleadingly advertises that the hand sanitizers “[k]ill[] more than 99.99% of most common germs” to make consumers believe that the products can prevent disease and reduce illnesses – including Ebola, MRSA, norovirus, and the flu – when, according to the complaint, there is no evidence to support such claims.
