Papa John’s is being sued in a class-action lawsuit for allegedly sending over 500,000 unwanted text messages to customers advertising its pizza (the class action was officially certified in November 2012). Under the Telephone Consumer Protection Act (TCPA), the recipients of the text messages could be awarded $500 or more for each text. (Chutich v.
