August 2018: A federal judge dismissed the case and gave plaintiffs 45 days to file an amended complaint.

February 2018: A class-action lawsuit was filed against Nissan Extended Services and Hudson Nissan for allegedly misrepresenting that consumers who purchase a Vehicle Service Agreement to cover the mechanical breakdown of covered parts on credit are subject to 0% financing when, according to plaintiffs, consumers actually pay an interest rate of 23.99%. (Arkliss et al v. Nissan Extended Services North America et al, Case No. 2018-L-001227, New Jersey State Court – Bergen County)
