Allegations: Deceptively marketing products as containing pork rib meat
In January 2016, a class-action lawsuit was filed against McDonald’s for allegedly falsely marketing its Mozzarella Cheese Sticks as being made with “pure mozzarella,” “real mozzarella,” and “100% real cheese” when they actually contain various filler substances, including starch. (Howe et al v. McDonald’s Corporation and Does 1-100, Case No. 16-cv-176, C. D. CA.)
