Allegations: Falsely marketing that products are made with “All Natural Ingredients”
In August 2020, a class-action lawsuit was filed against The Kraft Heinz Company for allegedly misleadingly advertising that Maxwell House ground coffee products make a specific number of cups of coffee when, according to the complaint, the products do not contain enough coffee to make the advertised number of servings. For example, plaintiffs claim that the 10.5 ounce container of Maxwell House 100% Columbian ground coffee makes 90 cups of coffee when, according to the complaint, the product makes approximately 59 cups of coffee. (Brower et al v. The Kraft Heinz Company, Case No. 20-cv-1540, S.D. Cal.)
