Maxwell House Ground Coffee

October 2020: The case was stayed until January 2021 to give the parties time to finalize a settlement agreement.

July 2020: A class-action lawsuit was filed against The Kraft Heinz Company alleging that canisters of Maxwell House coffee do not contain enough ground coffee to make the advertised number of servings. For example, the 10.5 ounce canister of 100% Colombian coffee represents that it “makes up to 90” cups of coffee when, according to the complaint, the 10.5 ounce canister makes approximately 59 cups of coffee. (Sulzer et al v. The Kraft Heinz Company, Case No. 20-cv-1154, W.D. Penn.)
