In November 2016, a class-action lawsuit was filed against All Market, Inc. for allegedly misleadingly marketing Vita Coco coconut oil as healthy and a healthy alternative to butter when the coconut oil actually contains high levels of saturated fat, which increases the risk of cardiovascular disease and other serious illnesses.
