LifeLock’s Identity Theft Protection Services

In March 2018, a class-action lawsuit was filed against LifeLock for allegedly falsely advertising its identity theft protection services. Specifically, the complaint alleges that LifeLock promises to protect, notify, reimburse, and assist members whose personal information has been stolen or used to fraudulently obtain credit when, according to plaintiffs, LifeLock does not deliver the advertised promises. (Weingarten et al v. LifeLock, Inc., Case No. 18-cv-1013, D. Ariz.)
