April 2015: A class-action lawsuit was filed against Kind LLC for allegedly misbranding KIND bars and snack products. According to the complaint, at least four products (Almond & Apricot, Almond & Coconut, Peanut Butter Dark Chocolate + Protein, and Dark Chocolate Cherry Cashew + Antioxidants) are misbranded in violation of the Federal Food, Drug, and Cosmetic Act. More specifically, the complaint alleges that the company:
