August 2018: This case was transferred to another court in Pennsylvania. (Case No. 18-cv-1022, W.D. Penn.)
June 2018: A class-action lawsuit was filed against InventHelp for allegedly engaging in a deceptive and fraudulent invention promotion scam. Specifically, plaintiffs claim that the company deceptively markets that it helps inventors monetize their inventions and provides them with various services – including research, patenting, promotion, marketing, manufacturing, and distribution – when, according to the complaint, the company does not provide the advertised services. (Calhoun et al v. Invention Submission Corp. d/b/a InventHelp et al, Case No. 18-cv-2307, E.D. Penn.)
